Here we go again.........So, here’s the latest update for the 3rd Annual Welcome to Key West Party – brought to you by Crab Island Mambo!!!

On Wednesday, October 30 from 11-3:30, plan to be at Dante’s for our 3rd year of fun and great music! We’ll have playing for you: Ryan Sheley and Andy Westcott of Homemade Wine, Dave McKenney, Dennis McCaughey of Tropical Soul, Copper Sky (Heather and Dave) and Jerry Diaz! Brad Brewer is going to be doin’ his thang with Dave and I’m sure he’ll get up with a few of our other folks to play too!

Yeah, this is gonna be a great day in Key West (like THAT’s ever a real problem!!)

Hot off the press...Crab Island Mambo and Crab Island Cantina are teaming up to bring Trop Rocker Paul Roush to the Destin Harbor. Paul will be performing his Trop Rock songs at Crab Island Cantina on Sunday March, 17th from 1-5 pm. Sunday Brunch specials and this is also St. Patty's Day which always has the harbor hopping. Join us for this afternoon of music, fun, food and drinks!

The "Trop Rock Music Association" awards ballots were recently sent out to members of the TRMA to cast their nominations for this year's Trop Rock music awards. The awards show will be held at the Casa Marina on Saturday afternoon during MOTM in Key West. Crab Island Mambo is pleased to announce the one and only Jimi Pappas will be here on the Emerald Coast playing for us on Thursday March 15th. He will be at Anglers Beachside Bar on Okaloosa Island on the Sun Deck. The music will start about 5:30 pm. Jimi is from Orlando and has been performing for over 30 years. In addition to his solo act he is the drummer for Jim Morris and the Big Bamboo Band. The "Pappa-potamus" as Jim Morris calls him was voted to have the number one Trop Rock CD (Hello Mr. Sunshine) and number one Trop Rock single (Watermelons) in 2011 by Beachfront Radio fans. Join us at Anglers March 15th and let's give Jimi a big Emerald Coast welcome. No fee to enter, no cover charge and no worries! The party is open to the public so bring your friends and let them "Embrace the Chaos!"

Join Anglers Beachside Grill and Crab Island Mambo as we present Trop Rock recording artist Mike Broward on Saturday February 11, 2012. Mike has been performing for many years starting out in San Diego with the band “Stars on the Water.” He is currently performing solo based out of Nashville, TN. Mike has 3 CD’s of original music and is a fixture each year in Key West for Meeting of the Minds. Join us as we welcome Mike to the Emerald Coast. The show will start at 4:00 pm. 17th on your calendar! Crab Island Mambo will have a holiday get-together at Calhoun's Pub and Grub in Destin starting at 2:00 pm. (Calhoun's is at the corner of Hwy. 98 and Main Street in front of the cinema.) Get your favorite Tropical Christmas attire on and join us as we celebrate the holiday season. Take a break from the hustle and bustle of the season while you share some good times with good friends. Come thirsty and hungry (hint, hint...) as we will have some special surprises. Crab Island Mambo is now posting some video's on YouTube. I have posted two from Phlocking of the Phaithful in Put in Bay, OH from last June. The first video is Latitude playing on the deck at Mr. Ed's. The second video is Corned Beef and Curry playing an afternoon show at the Boardwalk. Keep checking back from time to time as I will post video's from events that we attend.

This coming Sunday, July 10th, Eric Stone and his band will be performing at the legendary Skippers Smokehouse in Tampa, FL. The show starts at 5:00 pm. "The Best Part of Wakin' Up Is Folgers In Your Cup" contest winners was announced. Our Trop Rock friends John Patti and John Reno did not win but just getting to final five out of thousands of contestants was a great accomplishment. There performance was shown live on the big screen in Times Square as they helped promote Trop Rock music! Way to go guys!!! You are winners in our book!!!

Congratulations to fellow Parrotheads and Trop Rock musicians John Patti and John Reno as they are now one of five finalist in "The Best Part of Wakin' Up Is Folgers In Your Cup" contest. Out of thousands of contestants they are now down to the final five. The guys will be going to New York where they hope to win the entire contest and bring new publicity to Trop Music. Also....The Panama City Parrothead Club has announced they raised $15104.77 for the Children's Home Society during their recent "Coast is Clear" Rendezvous. They thank all the "Angels in Tropical Shirts" for their support. Way to go PCPHC!!!

We meet on Okaloosa Island at Beachwalk #2. It starts at 9:30. The clean up takes about 30 minutes then we have an old fashion Parrothead beach party. Bring your snack's, beach chairs, sunscreen, drinks (no glass on the beach), musical instruments and anything else you can think of to have a phun time. Also bring your friends and share the Parrothead attitude with them.

Come on out to a Crab Island Mambo First Saturday of Spring Beach Bash. The party will be Saturday March 26th on Okaloosa Island at the same spot we have the beach clean ups. Consider this a preview for the upcoming beach clean ups that start in May.  

Bring your sunscreen, coolers, beach chairs, umbrellas, snacks, guitars&#x2026anything to have a fun time on the beach as we get into an Emerald Coastal State of Mind! Pass the word, the more the merrier!

It has been announced that all Parrotheads, locals and visitors, who have their club badge will get drink specials at Fudpuckers two locations in Destin and on Okaloosa Island. Half off Landshark and one dollar off all other drinks. Offer good for limited time although it was first announced as being good for the entire year. Check it out if you are in the area.
